Population and Killing of Bengal Tigers.

Bengal tigers are one of the only 5 different tiger species of the world.  According to the Wildlife Protection Society of India these are the number of known deaths of Bengal tiger poachings:

095 tigers killed in 1994
123 tigers killed in 1994
052 tigers killed in 1996
089 tigers killed in 1997
036 tigers killed in 1998

Though the number of deaths seem to be declining, it is possible that there are unaccounted deaths in the poaching activity.  Poaching may not stop in time to save this species of tiger.  It is estimated that only 3000 Bengal tigers live in the wild today.

Why do I provide graphic videos?

I think that it take something as drastic as showing what actually happens to get people motivated to actually do something.  People are very visual learners, and thats why I believe that its something to hear about something, but when you see it, thats what makes a difference.

Nature pictures are amazing to me. I could travel for hours through books and photographers. I love Caroline Mueller Photography's landscapes and seascapes. [link] We need to get her to photograph the Bengal Tigers before it's too late...
