At the moment and in the recent past Polar Bears have been in the news. Mosly because of what i belive to be tragic killings in iceland.
But have your say i'll include some infomation on polar bears and on these killings. Please comment with your opinion on this issue.

Polar Bears :
There are more than 22 thousand polar bears in the glacial Arctic at the present time The species is at risk of estinction because global warming iis causing huge changes of the arctic including the melting of sea ice.
Polar bears are known to be strong swimmers and recently it was reported that four were found drowned in the Bering Strait between Alaska and Russia. They had apparently swam beyond their range and died after not being able to find suitable pack ice upon which to rest .

Polar bear shootings in iceland:

1.)A polar bear spotted in Skagafjördur, Iceland this week has been shot by police after a farmer in Keldudalur saw the bear walking along a mountain road and called the police

2.) A polar bear that found its way to Iceland on June 17 was supposed to be picked up by a crew from Copenhagen Zoo and taken back to Greenland.
But police sharpshooters killed the bear.

I want everyone reading this to know that these polar bears have swam 300 km before reaching land.
